Biography
The youngest of three siblings, Jamie was raised in Arkansas. Her mother’s career as a realtime court reporter for the federal court sparked Jamie’s early interest in the legal field.
Jamie pursued her undergraduate studies in English at Arkansas State University, graduating with honors in 2009. She then earned her law degree from William H. Bowen School of Law and continued her education with an LL.M. in Federal Criminal Defense Litigation at California Western School of Law in San Diego.
With eight years of experience in criminal defense and plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation, Jamie transitioned to concentrate solely on legal writing in 2021. She has practiced law in Arkansas, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa, drafting numerous briefs, motions, and pleadings for courts nationwide.
Currently, Jamie leverages her extensive legal writing experience as a Briefing Attorney at Arnold & Itkin. Jamie’s talent for in-depth, persuasive research and writing is a significant asset to our clients.
Jamie resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband and their two dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors or with friends and family.
