Biography

Born and raised in Louisiana, Foster Willie has been committed to supporting and defending his community from a young age. He pursued this passion by studying Political Science at Louisiana State University, completing his degree in just three years. Eager to deepen his legal knowledge, Foster attended LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center on a Dean’s Scholarship.

During law school, Foster excelled academically and professionally. He earned the CALI Award for achieving the highest grade in Constitutional Law and enriched his education by studying comparative law in Lyon, France. Back at LSU, he externed with Chief Judge Shelly Dick at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana and tutored fellow students in Constitutional Law and Torts. Graduating cum laude, he obtained both a Juris Doctor and a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law.

Foster's enthusiasm for legal advocacy was evident through his active participation in moot court competitions. He reached the finals in three out of four intramural contests and contributed to his team's Best Brief Award at the regional National Moot Court Competition. His dedication to mentoring others led him to coach and judge younger advocacy students, earning him induction into the Order of Barristers.

Beyond academics, Foster has long been involved in community service. He volunteered with the Public Interest Law Society and served as a senior editor for the LSU Law Journal for Social Justice and Policy, where he published work on combating human trafficking. Notably, he organized an annual charity football game that raised over $50,000 for local charities.

In his personal time, Foster enjoys cooking and sports. He is a proud LSU fan.
