Technip Acquires Global Industries, Ltd.
In December of 2011, TechnipFMC plc acquired Global Industries, Ltd. Since 1974, Global Industries has operated from Louisiana, serving the shallow and deepwater offshore oil and gas industry. Originally established to work in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the company has expanded to include operations in North America, Latin America, West Africa, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific/India regions. Global Industries' business consists of two principal activities: offshore construction services, which include pipeline construction and platform installation and removal, and subsea services, which include diving and diverless intervention, support services for construction, and more.
Technip & Maritime Accidents

- In May 2017, TechnipFMC was one of three companies blamed for poor workplace management that led to the collision of two cranes in a shipyard in Korea, an accident that killed six people and injured 25 others.
